Challenge

A major Australian retailer was undertaking a full business transformation and were seeking a consultant to develop a business case for this transformation.

Alongside that they needed an expert in organization design to undertake a significant organizational restructure within their merchandise and buying division (~300 people). To read more about this part of the project, click here.

Both projects were under tight deadlines and needed the consultants to start immediately.

The business case project involved:

• Collaboration with management to help them capture and crisply define the transformation story
• Framing the commercial and non commercial drivers of change
• Setting up the metrics (financial and non-financial) and a dashboard to measure success of the restructure
• The output was to be a business case report to management or the Board
